Ripley the cancer therapy dog

When my mom was diagnosed with cancer….one of the first things I thought of was how awful it would be never to hold a kitten….or a puppy….or to watch them grow.  So I asked her doctors if it was ok…when I got the go ahead…I brought slowly four little fur angels into our lives.  Ripley is pictured here on her first meeting with my mom.

When my mom passed….one of my fur babies passed ten days after she did.  I was devastated.  Ripley now became my therapy dog.   Below is a video shot after my mom and dogue passed.

Ripley forced me to go outside.  I would take her for two hour walks and she loved it.  It was good for me to see her happy smiling face.  She is an amazing girl…now fighting her own battle with cancer.

  1. Awww….what a sweet photo of your Mom and Puppy Ripley! They both look so happy! I think Ripley knew right then he was born to be a Therapy Dog 🙂

Imw sorry about your Mom. I know this photo is very special and so full of love. I think she knew Ripley would take good care of you…..and you of him. And she’s watching over both of you!

You put together a very touching video of your boy. Well done!! He is quite a MAGNIFICENT dog! 🙂 He clearly is a happy boy and very adored. Even cats adore him 🙂

We love hearing about Ripley and seeing his delightful photos.

    Hugs

    1. Thank you so much. I’m working on fundraising for her at the moment but will get caught up. I appreciate your comments. Thank you so much 🙂

  2. That sweet photo says it all. Animals just know how to love unconditionally and put a smile on a person’s face even in the toughest times. Your Mom was so blessed to have fur, and you, in her life. My condolences, I’m sorry for your loss.
